Famous (Named) Open Clusters Within 2900 Light Years

The image painted on the base grid is the relevant 3,681 ly x 3,681 ly section of the NASA/JPL-Caltech Milky Way map. The circle around the Sun has a radius of 750 light years. The base grid parallels the galactic plane, and lies 317 light years (ly) below the actual galactic plane.
